Description
Here is a set of the "Works of Laurence Sterne" printed in London in 1780. There were some unauthorized editions prior to this but this is considered the first "critical edition" by the publishers who held the copyright on some of his works. Spurious works were rejected. It is sparsely illustrated. See the page in the photos for a description of this set. This quarto size set is rebound in thick green leather with cloth-strengthened.hinges. Some Damp staining occurred prior to the rebinding. With the exception of the portrait in volume one, all plates are present, some with damp stain, more pronounced on the back as the pictures show.
