Year of publication: 2012 ISBN: 978-5-93898-370-0 Pages: 544 Illustrations: 85 Print run: 1100 copies. Out of print ABOUT THE BOOK Composition, article and notes by E. R. Arenzon Illustrations by Valery Mishin The book "Krikoguby Zarathustra" familiarizes the reader with the early work of Vladimir Mayakovsky (1893-1930). Almost entirely - with the exception of a few works - are presented his poems and poems of the pre-revolutionary period. A special section is made up of Mayakovsky's critical and journalistic prose. Several newly found texts published under pseudonyms are also included. The section of appendices includes an afterword and notes by literary scholar Eugene Arenzon, a specialist in Mayakovsky's work, a selection of documentary and iconographic materials that add colorful touches to the portrait of the poet, as well as his letters to his family and friends (1916-1917). The edition is accompanied by illustrations by the famous artist Valery Mishin, who created an original artistic interpretation of the poetry of "early Mayakovsky" PREDICTION Boris Pasternak wrote that Vladimir Mayakovsky "from childhood was spoiled by the future, which was given to him quite early and, apparently, without much labor". This "future, which became the present", came to him soon after his triumphant entry into literature. In 1912 he gave his first reading of his poems in the artistic cabaret "Stray Dog". In 1913, Mayakovsky's first poetry collection "I!" was published. And the next year Alexei Kruchenykh published the first book on the poet's work: "Poems of V. Mayakovsky: Vypyty". ABOUT THE ARTIST Valery Mishin was born in 1939 in Simferopol. Graphic artist, book artist, painter, sculptor, writer. In 1962 he graduated from the Sverdlovsk Art School, in 1968 - from the faculty of monumental and decorative painting of the Leningrad Higher Art and Industrial School named after V. I. Mukhina. He worked in the art workshop at the school, then - in the system of khudfond. In 1975, his graphic series, dedicated to A. S. С. Pushkin, exhibited at the exhibition of artists-nonconformists in the House of Culture "Nevsky". ARTICLE This is what Mayakovsky was called by his senior comrade in the literary battles of the 1910s, Khlebnikov, who discerned behind the loose jelly of condensed water vapor ("cloud") the space of the boundless universe. "Hey, you! / Sky! / Take off your hat! / I'm coming!" - is the final chord of the great poem "Cloud in My Pants." A poet of cosmic proportions can think and feel in a similar way. And Khlebnikov, who called himself Velimir (the lord of the world), was able to "talk to the sky on your own" ("Freedom comes naked...", 1917) and wanted to see brave warriors around him, who are not afraid to "poke the stars" and know "the sweetness of roaring" ("We wish to poke the stars...", 1910). ON APPENDIX Rossomakhin A. "MAGIC SQUARES OF THE RUSSIAN AVANT-GARDE: THE CASE OF MAYAKOVSKY". C annex full illustrated catalog V. V. Mayakovsky's lifetime books.
