Description
This is an Easton Press edition of "Two Plays" by Anton Chekhov, "The Cherry Orchard" and "Two Sisters". It was published in 1979. The leather cover is a lovely burnt orange color with lovely gold embossed details and it has a nice smell. It is a hardback book measuring 7x9.5". 133 pages. The red bookmark is attached and tucked inside. The edges of the pages are gold. The bookplate is inside loose, not attached. It is probably no longer sticky due to the age. I think I was the first person to open this book, as the binding is quite stiff. There is some edge and corner wear from being on the shelf. There are lovely illustrations by Lajos Szalay. There is red fabric inside the front and back covers. There are two round spots on the tops of the pages on the outside of the book. The gold is not missing, just marred in some way.
