Description
This is a set of six of the ten-volume Pocket Edition, Limp Leather Barrie titles Scribner's published in 1917. All the books are bound in soft blue leather with silk ribbon place markers, gold on the top page edges, and tissue-covered frontispiece illustrations. Owners bookplate of Loring Dodd, Professor of Art and Literature at Clark University, acquaintance of Robert Frost, author and illustrator of a series of children's books written by his wife Ruth Dodd. The Dodd's made notes of favorite phrases in each book and captured these on loose paper then adhered to the endsheets. Also included are vintage postcards of Barrie's home in Scotland, and a copy of the address he gave when made Rector of St Andrews University.
