Ralph Waldo Emerson Essays Second Series Dodge Publishing Company 1 I’m uncertain of the exact publication year, but I am certain this is truly an old late 1890s edition. Please read the information I provided below about the Dodge Publishing Company. The pages are rough cut. The book is thin red leather bound. The top and bottom of the spine show leather wear as well as each outer corner. The inside is inscribed by the previous owner and many pages throughout the book have pencil lines along the outer margins of certain pages. The very back few blank pages show 2 pages of pencil written notes from the previous owner. The very back last page of the book features a BULLOCKS BOOK SHOP price tag. All pages are in tact and not torn or dog-eared. There are no ink or pen markings. Please see the many photos Buyer pays shipping $5.95. The same (or similar) design seems to have been executed in ooze leather, "brocade leather" (a mottled leather possibly produced by blind-stamping the material), and "leathercraft" (probably a "manufactured" leather).

Shipping took a little while but the packaging was secure, the flute is as described, and the value wasn't bad. Too bad there wasn't a maker's mark, however it may be a family piece.
