For auction is Reflections on the Civil War by Bruce Catton. This volume was published by The Easton Press, as part of the Leather-Bound Library of Military History. The book was published by Easton Press in 1987, and was copyrighted and originally published in 1981. Mr. Catton was renowned as a master of all aspects of the Civil War. He published ten major studies about the Civil War, and won the Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Award and the Presidential Freedom Award. Shortly before his death, Mr. Catton produced a series of short essays about the Civil War, addressing its origins and occurrences. John Leekley edited these essays to form this book. The book is illustrated with pen and ink drawing made by a Civil War infantryman. This volume is in excellent and unread condition. The front and back covers are both in pristine condition and the gilded page edges show virtually no wear. The photographs of the book are the actual book itself, not stock photographs. The book consists of 246 pages, including the index. This book comes with a blank bookplate on which you can insert your name and attach it to the book. Also included are the Collector’s Notes.
