Size: Octavo (8vo). 4-volume set (complete). Four volumes in reverse calf, neatly rebacked early on, gilt ruled spines, modest edge wear, heavier at the corners, scattered surface marks. Illustrated with 24 plates after Smirke. Scattered foxing, heavier to the plates, esp. in the first two volumes, some offsetting from text and plates, two small marginal paper repairs, but otherwise clean and unmarked. An attractive set.
