COLLECTOR'S Notes is included. Richard Condon, who lived from 1915-1996, wrote satires. The novel begins with the kidnapping of HENRY GEORGE ASBURY, "an advisor to Presidents," a vastly wealthy conglomerateur, a direct descendant of the first Methodist bishop in the U.S., an art patron, and a philanthropist who has been in the Prizzi's pocket since his beginnings. But he has a wife who must be reckoned with so the Prizzis face a struggle. He once said that every book he had written was about the abuse of power. The New York Times said: "Condon creates a fictional land where political lions dwell, scoundrels thrive and greed trickles upward." The Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel wrote: "The gleeful poison emanating from Condon's word processor has more targets than Robin Hood's arrows and hits the bull's eye every time." The New York Times wrote: "There's nobody quite like Richard Condon writing satirical novels today. . .May he go on forever." 241 pages. I offer Combined shipping.
