The toy plays music using 3 AA batteries (not included based on USPS rules) plus has wind up. This nostalgic toy record player is designed for age levels 1-2 years, 3-4 years, and 4-7 years with safety in mind plus very durable design. It belongs to the Character Family of Music and is made in China. Be sure to add 3 double AA batteries, opening with a Phillips screw driver. Replace screw on cover so child does not access batteries. Wind completely to get the record to turn as it plays delightful songs for your child. I completely cleaned for you and included many pics.
