A hardcover book bound in full red-orange leather with gilt decorations, gilt foredges, moire endpapers, and a silk ribbon bookmark. Very good condition; foredges faintly foxed, but otherwise smooth and shiny, and gilt detailing on the covers barely rubbed in a few tiny spots. Edges faintly soiled, almost iperceptibly so. Very well packaged. Better than some other sellers that just ship books in a Manila padded envelope. This seller had wrapped it in bubble wrap then placed in a box full of packed paper. Because of this extra careful attention the 139 year old book made it safe to its new forever home. The book arrived on time. As described. Great value for a book this old. The stain on front cover is exactly as described. I would prefer it to not have the stain but it definitely adds character.
