Captain Haruo, the human protagonist, longs to vanquish Godzilla and reclaim the Earth for humanity. He meets the Houtua tribe, who are indigenous descendants of the human race, there. He finds the skeletal remains of Mecha-Godzilla, an anti-Godzilla weapon that, to everyone's amazement, is still functional in the form of self-generating nanometal, thanks to the guidance of the Houtua twins, Maina and Miana. The nanometals, which were removed from the Mecha-Godzilla corpse, have been progressively constructing "Mecha-Godzilla City," a potential weapon that might wipe out Godzilla Earth. A split opens up between the humans and the Bilusaludo, one of the extraterrestrial races that left Earth with the humans as part of their exodus, as the plan takes shape. Galu-gu, their leader, thinks that using superhuman abilities—specifically, the integration of nanometals—will help them beat Godzilla, but Haruo disagrees, believing that they must avoid turning into monsters themselves in the process. In the end, Haruo employs his strategy for taking down Godzilla Earth to demolish the Mecha-Godzilla metropolis and stop Galu-gu from being assimilated by nanometals. But Yuuko, his childhood companion, has become brain dead from being consumed by the nanometal integration. Once more, the human race is extinct. Metphies, the commander of the priestly alien race Exif, is amazed by Haruo's incredible survival and starts to gain support. Covertly, this result has been the Exif's "ultimate goal." Haruo starts to wonder what humans will do next, as Miana and Maina caution against Metphies. Mankind watches as King Ghidorah, clothed in a golden glow, descends upon the world, helpless against Godzilla Earth. As battle shifts to a higher plane, the earth trembles once more.
