Six small hardcover books housed in a custom-made leather slipcase made to look like six leather-bound books with gilt lettering and decoration standing side by side. Individual books have their own cloth sleeves; covers are red paper-covered boards with green holly decorations and paste-down color illustrations. Color and black-and-white illustrations throughout each book. "Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty," "Little Black Sambo," Fairy Tales from Andersen," and "Fairy Tales from Grimm" are dated 1905; "The Story of Peter Rabbit" is dated 1911. Introductions by L. Frank Baum. Good Plus: some wear and chipping to spines and boards. Scarce as a complete set and wholly unique in its delightful slipcase. ABE 501712
