It is part of their Franklin Mystery series. The interior, the beautiful leather cover, and attached silk bookmark are in fine condition. There are no tears, marks, or bookplates. The page ends are richly gilded to seal out moisture. The book is 6 1/ 4 ” x 9” tall and 2 64 pages plus colophon. Only the leather-bound Franklin Mystery titles have an attached bookmark. Many sellers incorrectly call the leatherette bound books as leather bound books. The 5 b & w illustrations by K arl Nicholason were created for the 1977 University of California edition. This was an oversize book that could have been damaged in shipping. The vendor first put it in a heavy paper bag which was then placed in a box with additional paper padding. The book was accurately described and with free shipping a good value.
