Description
Published in France, copyright B. Arthaud, 1929, Editions J. Rey. BEAUTIFULLY LEATHER BOUND by publisher, I'm presuming, given that it includes the paste-on that is seen on paperback editions. It has gilt letters on the spine, 5 bands, top page edge gilt. Small bit of spine loss top of spine, light wear where the boards meet the spine, very light wear to board edges, very solidly bound, marble endpapers, no marks, 216 pages followed by the Table of Contents and the Colophon page. 261 STUNNING SEPIA "HELIOGRAVURES" THROUGHOUT; photographs and illustrations. Cover illustration by Camille Carlier-Vignal. The Editions J. Rey (Jean Rey) of B. Arthaud were a series of beautifully illustrated books on regions and countries published prior to 1930. Further series were produced by B. Arthaud after the "Editions J. Rey" came. This book is from a series titled, "Les Beaux Pays" or "The Beautiful Countries". A publication description behind the title page indicates that this is the 23rd book in that series. B87

This purchase is for a third party, a keen collector, as a surprise. I sent this vendor, lorber588, an email to confirm the product details before purchasing. They responded within the day, confirming the facts, and they answered every question in detail and I really appreciate that candor. The item arrived just an hour ago in the exact description as advertised and in pristine condition. I'm very pleased, and I'll be adding this vendor onto my favorites list for future purchases. Thank you!
