Lovely plain brown goat skin leather binding with five raised bands along the spine. Light wear to extremities with light scuffing along joints and corners. Gilt has rubbed away from spine label. Gilt inner dentelles bright and clean. Lovely foiled marbled end papers remain clean and bright. Light offsetting from dentelles on fly along edges. Interior bright and clean. Free of known markings or ownership. All edge gilt. Binding tight and intact. Very nice. Please see photos. A handsomely bound collection of Matthew Arnold’s poetry from the Golden Treasury Series.
