Published in London by Griffith and Farran, 1869. This is the scarce and collectible First Edition. Book is quarter-bound in black leather with leather tips. The spine has five raised bands with gold lettering and gilt design in compartments. Some fraying to top portion of front gutter but cover remains well attached. All pages are clean and tightly bound. Has decorative endpages. Top of pages has gilt edge. Previous owner bookplate on inside of front cover (Rodman Wanamaker). Book shows some gentle wear remains in near-very good condition. This is quite a rare and lovely book! This is a terrific book to add to a collection. Great gift idea.
