Containing ten engraved plates and numerous in-text engravings, collated and lacking two plates. Volume XXIV from the Second Series, covering July to December 1851. Containing fourteen engraved plates and numerous in-text engravings, collated and complete. Volume I from the Third Series, covering January to June 1852. Containing ten engraved plates and numerous in-text engravings, collated and complete. Volume III from the Third Series, covering January to June 1853. Containing fourteen engraved plates and numerous in-text engravings, collated and complete. Volume IV from the Third Series, covering July to December 1853. CONDITION Uniformly bound in half calf with marbled boards. Externally, shelf wear to the boards and rubbing to the spines, joints, and extremities. Loss to the binding on the boards and heads of the spines to Volumes XVI 1859 and XVII 1860. More significant rubbing to the spines of Volumes XXIV 1851, VI 1854, XI 1857, XII 1857, XIII 1858, XIV 1858, XVI 1859, XVII 1860, and XX 1861. Joints starting to Volumes XIX 1849, XXIV 1851, III 1853, X 1856, XI 1857, and XIII 1858. A small amount of paint to the tails of the spines on Volume VI 1864 and Volume XI 1857. Containing an ink notation to the front pastedown and front free-endpaper of Volume XIX from 1849, and an ink notation to the front free-endpaper of Volume XII 1857. Internally, front hinges strained to Volumes XIX 1849, XXIV 1851, III 1853, IV 1853, X 1856, XI 1857, XVI 1859, XVII 1860, and XVIII 1860. Lacking title and index pages to Volume XII 1857. Pages contain odd instances of light spotting, age-toning, handling marks, and a few small tidemarks to the plates, not affecting readability.
