Freeman provides information about a number of poets who were either native to Kent, or born there. He provides specimens of their work, alongside short biographical insight. Poets include Henry Wotton, Phineas Fletcher, Aphra Behn, Elizabeth Carter, John Duncombe and others. With the blind stamp of the Wigan Public Library to each title page and final leaf, with stamps to verso of each title page. With the odd engraved head and tail piece throughout. Rebound, with endpapers renewed. CONDITION Rebound in half calf, with cloth covered boards. Endpapers renewed. Externally, fine. Internally, firmly bound. Blind stamp to title page and final leaf of each volume. Library stamp to verso of each title page. Pages lightly age toned, with instances of spotting to perimeters of first and last few leaves of each volume.     I bought this for the copy's associations with a family I'm interested in, thanks to the suggestions about provenance in the seller's description. The description and photos told me all I needed to know about the book - clearly the right family, though I have my own view on the individual who owned it - but that is part of the fund of an old book. It arrived promptly - a couple of days' delay caused by UPS - safely packaged and a good price, I think.
